Convert file path to link

Hello, I have a pdf document on the server and I want to make this pdf document a link and put it as a field in the table.

when i take the extension open to file share and paste it in file explorer, i can go to pdf When the link is clicked, I want the pdf to open.

Is this possible?

Qliksense version Feb 2023. 

My path: \\server\adress\test.pdf

You can choose to upload the pdf to Content library in QMC and then use the url similar to 

https://<qlik Sense server >/content/pdf/test.pdf

You can refer to the article Qlik Sense Websocket Connectivity Tester   for the steps to upload and find the url, but modify to your pdf file path accordingly.

I added it as you said and then I took the url part and said add it as a link.

but it didn't work. I'm typing the server name which is my file path, in the format you wrote but it doesn't work.

Hi @krmvacar 

The <> symbols are just to indicate the server name goes there, so those need to be removed.
