Don't show My Sheets from other users Qlik Sense

Hi,

In Qlik Sense we have the My Sheets in an App where users create their own sheets.

But all the users see all the sheets everybody created. How can I only show the My Sheets from that user? Admins can see everything.

Regards, Paul

Can you attach the syntax from the seeded rule called "createapp"?

I've seen this occur when I've disabled this seeded rule and created my own version that not only allowed for "create" actions, but also "read" actions". I suspect you have a rule somewhere in your environment that is allowing users to read unpublished apps(my work from users that don't own the apps).  You have to find this rule. One way to find it is to use the audit function in the QMC. Select Target resource of Apps, add a user, set environment = hub. Then focus on an app that the user should not see and click on associated rules.

User should only see their sheets unless they have been published.  Sounds like you may have a Security Rule issue.

Have you created any new rules or modified existing ones?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the reply. I haven't modified anything, this has been the case from the start.

Can users see other user's bookmarks also?

On a different note you might want to look into the Governed Self Service setup that Qlik came out with a few months ago.  It is a great setup to control who can do and see what.

Hi,

I looked at the associated rules and indeed found a custom rule that allowed read on all app objects. I removed it and now it works!

Is there a document somewhere which in depth explains something about all the rules, what it does etc.?

Hey Paul, That's great news. The best resource I know of is the help menu, combined with the seeded rule descriptions and just reading the conditions syntax. Security rules ‒ Qlik Sense

It would be great if Qlik listed all of the available resource syntax and what they mean.

Yes, is there any place where we can refer to the syntax for all available resource in Qlik?
