Sort Pivot Table Dimension Filter

Hi,

In my pivot table, I'm able to sort the Dimension using the Sort panel but it doesn't sort the filter. Can someone guide me on how to do it?

Did you use same sorting option in Filter pane?

Yes I did. The dates in the Filter pane is sorted in descending order which is what I want. But the dates in the pivot table's filter is sorted in ascending order.

I have same problem, with more constraints. I want to sort the value field (value column: 2017). I want these number in Descending order. Is it possible?

Use Sorting by Expression.

there use Measure of 2017 and choose order as Descending

We have the same problem with sorting in a pivot table.

Sorting for the dimension is set to custom and then to descending for numeric sort. BUT it does not change the order of the items in the filter. Same case with the original question in this thread.

Sorting by expression does not solve our issue. It sorts the table as expected, but not the filter in the pivot table.

Hi Ano,

You can also try to inherit from dimension

Edit Sheet >> Sorting >> Sorting in search then select inherit from dimension
