We recently upgraded our test Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows site from May 2021 (14.20.5) to August 2022 Patch 3 (14.78.10). Since then we can no longer create new apps. We enter a name and click "Create" and we get the message "The app count not be created. Please try again".
We have tried multiple accounts and we all get the same issue. We can however duplicate existing apps. The accounts have professional licenses, are root admins and have read/write access to the share containing the "App" folder. They were able to create new apps before the upgrade. The Qlik Sense service account also have read/write access to the "App" folder.

If everything looks ok I would try to open a support ticket with Qlik.

You could also check the permission, and also check if space available in the server where is hosted the postgres DB. And also in the server where is hosted the shared drive.

Hi @abbieharrison1 , wondering if you were able to resolve this issue and what the resolution was? I am having a similar issue after upgrading to May 2023. Sense was working fine for previous versions.
I now receive generic errors when trying to create a new app or accessing the Data Load Editor for existing apps.
I can't find any information on the generic errors in log files.
I have also followed Qlik Sense - Getting the error:The app could not be created. Please try again with no luck.
I respect your original post was some time ago but I would appreciate if you could share your outcomes.

This issue was being caused by the KB5018419 windows server cumulative update. We resolved the issue by uninstalling that update.
