Could you explain the business requirement? I can't really think of any possible case of usefulness. Same dimension in two dimensions doesn't make much sense to me, however, two month fields that are not same but different like one being billing_month and other being delivery_month could be feasible and meaningful.

Hi

I have just seen this old discussion. I have a business requirement of this type !

My table records have UK postcode and its latitude & longitude coordinates. Using Lat & Lon, I can calculate the distance between any 2 postcodes.

I would like to select a postcode, then display this postocde (dimension1) and all other postcodes (dimension2) showing the distance between them as a calculated expression.

Any ideas? Thanks

You can by adding &'' to the dimension in the column.

like, Country&''

Thank you.
So in my example:
Dimension 1 would be Postcode
Dimension 2 would be Postcode&''

?

When I try this, I get a single row in the chart with identical (selected) values in the 2 dimension columns.

I don't have access to QV at present and can't remember the options on top of my head.

Post some images of what you are trying to achieve.

This is a snip of my data where outcode means PostCode. I can calculate the distance between any 2 postcodes based on their lat and lng values.

I want to select one postcode and show a chart of all the other postcodes and their distance from the selected postcode.

Thanks
