Hi all,
I'm starting to use the dynamicupdate action and commands in a macro with the aim that users will be able to update a field and then to export the changes to excel so they can be used in the next reload.
My question is if there is any way other than adding a user to the "QlikView Administrators Group" to use dynamicupdate ?
DynamicUpdate seems like such a useful function but I don't think we will start to use it if users need to be in the "QlikView Administrators Group".
Thanks
Mark
Hi Mark,
I'm very interested in the extensions you used instead of macros and dynamicupdate. Could you please tell me more about which extensions you used and where I can get them?
Thanks in advance!
Christian
Hi Christian,
In the end I develop extensions for the company I am currently working for using Javascript\Jquery that did a http post using json to a web service.
The web service which was developed using WCF then could do things like save data back to a table in a sql server database and\or move files\create folders etc...
Here is a link to an extension that you can use as a starting point:
Posting Data from QlikView to Other Systems using the Ajax Client
When we needed to reload a document we started with this extension:
Stefan Walther has a great site and some very useful extensions.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Mark
Thank you very much for answering my question / the useful links!
