When a data source service is down (for instance, an Oracle Server), Qlik Data Gateway Direct Access will not recognise the service as down and will try running the task until time out (three hours). The task cannot be stopped.
The data load progress remains in Loading data... status.
When the timeout is reached, the reload task fails. This can be seen in the Reload History (located in the Management Console > App > Details):

This issue is caused by defect QB-11826. The defect is currently being worked on by Qlik's dev team and is expected to be fixed in the upcoming version of Qlik Data Gateway. This will require upgrading the installed software.
