Delete Qlik Sense cloud apps with automations

The automation features can be very useful to create and manage apps in your tenant.

This article shows you how you can use the Qlik Cloud Connector to remove redundant apps, for example if you mistakenly used the 'copy' or 'create app' block.  

• List all your apps via the 'list apps' block
• Filter the apps you want to delete by using tha native filter block.
  • Alternatively you loop over the apps and use the condition block to select the apps you want to delete
  • select as input list the 'list apps' output (full list)
  • include the condition you want to use to filter out the apps to delete

• Use the 'delete app' block in the filter list loop, refering to the app id from the 'filter list' block.

TIP: to avoid deleting the wrong apps, we advise to first run this automation with an output block instead of the delete app. By doing this, you validate if the configuration of your filter block is correct and you double-check you will only delete the apps you want.
