Hubspot - How to Authenticate
This article gives an overview on how to authenticate to Hubspot Connector, what scopes are requested during the authentication flow by the Qlik Hubspot App, and an authentication example.
The Hubspot connector is using the OAuth 2 authentication protocol.
This system is using an already configured Qlik Hubspot app, which uses the following scopes available in Hubspot:
- oauth : basic oAuth functionality;
- contacts: required to get data around the following CRM objects: contacts, companies, deals, owners;
- tickets: required to get data around the support functionality of Hubspot;
- e-commerce: required to get data around the products and line items functionality of Hubspot.
How to link your Hubspot account:
- click on 'My Connections' (top-right menu);
- search for the Hubspot Connector and then click on 'Add';
- click on the 'Link connections' button. This will activate a popup that contains the Hubspot Login screen
- Enter your credentials and click on 'Log in';
- Click on 'Connect app' to approve the requested scopes
- your Hubspot account is now connected!
NOTE:
Connectivity: A tenant with a "Developer test account" can be used to create the connection whereas a tenant with an "App Developer account" will fail to create connections.
