Some of the master dimension in the Qlik Sense app cannot be seen in the selection tool.
Calculated dimension are not be displayed by design, and this is a current product limitation, but you can expect that a Master Dimension with a single field as expression would be displayed.
Environment
Cause:
The problem occurs when a Master Dimension is created using the left bar of Qlik Sense app. In this case, Sense will automatically add the '=' sign to the field you import.
So the master dimension is considered as a calculated dimension and not shown by the selection tool
Resolution:
It is necessary to avoid the "=" in the master dimension.
Here are the steps to follow.
hello,
it's difficult to read that the MasterItem must be exactly the same as a field to be displayed in the selections.
because all of these positions make it impossible to manage an industrial and multi-language application.
It's too easy to say, "it's by design", only to mask a real bug or your application
Regards
It would be nice if you can define your own 10 most selected items (master items) in the selection area. I have more dan 25 master items, but want to show as default only ~8 items. But not on anfabetical order but on a functional order (most used selections)

There is no point to define Master data if it is a copy of the data... Either the funciton is useless or it is clearly a bug. Fix it ASAP.
The solution may require further improvement as it currently does not seem to be effective.
However, Qlikt seems to be on enabling non-technical individuals to gain technical knowledge.
