Description

• Error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when previewing NPrinting Designer Excel Template Editor reports that contain merged cells

Diagnosis:

• After upgrade, open an NPrinting Report in the NP designer and preview a report that his known to contain merged cells
• Preview the Report
• Error encountered "The preview request failed with message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Environment

• Discovered following an upgrade from older unsupported NP versions (NP November 2019) to Current Supported NP versions

Resolution

• Please note that this issue has been resolved and will be available in NPrinting May 2022 SR 4.
• Keep an eye on the Qlik Community Downloads site and Product release notes for new product and service releases.

Workaround:

• None at this time
