Opening a Qlik Cloud Analytics app fails with App size exceeds Standard limit or App size exceeds maximum allowed size

Opening a Qlik Cloud Analytics app may fail with one of the following errors:
- App size exceeds Standard limit. Enable Large App Capacity in Space settings to proceed.
- App size exceeds the maximum allowed size and engine limit for Large App Capacity.
Resolution
Address Capacity
For the error of 'App size exceeds Standard limit. Enable Large App Capacity in Space settings to proceed'
Enable Large App Capacity in the space settings where the app resides or move the app to a space that already has Large App Capacity enabled.
For the error of 'App size exceeds the maximum allowed size and engine limit for Large App Capacity'
Increase the tenant's capacity to support larger apps. See Qlik Cloud Analytics specifications and capacity for app size details.
Large App Capacity is an additional subscription option. To purchase or expand this capacity, please contact your Qlik sales representative.
Reduce In-App Data
- Open the app without data: Click the options menu (...) for the app and select Open without data.
- Modify the app's data load script:
- Apply transformations, adjust limits, drop unnecessary tables, or make any other changes needed to reduce the app's data size.
- Alternatively, reduce the dataset size at the source (e.g., database or data files).
- If necessary, republish the app to a managed space, replacing the original version.
Cause
These errors indicate the app’s memory footprint exceeds the current capacity. This issue may arise as the app grows in size over time, even if it was previously accessible with a smaller dataset.
