See the Qlik Online Help for general information about Qlik Sense and AWS deployments. The content may change depending on the version of Sense.
In an Amazon Web Services (AWS) deployment, you install Qlik Sense Enterprise on an Amazon virtual private cloud infrastructure that is flexible, high-performance, and quick to set up.
Deploying Qlik Sense Enterprise on AWS will enable you to quickly add new applications in a simple and scalable manner. You can do this with a basic knowledge of AWS security and scalability options but without the need to follow complex on-premise installation and configuration procedures. Using AWS will enable you to get your Qlik Sense infrastructure up and running in fraction of the time required for an on-premise deployment, and will enable you to scale your deployment quickly and easily, regardless of unexpected changes in demand.
You can deploy Qlik Sense to AWS manually, or you can use an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) available in the AWS Marketplace that includes Qlik Sense preinstalled. However, predefined images do not include a file share, so can only support single node Qlik Sense deployments.
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows deployment to AWS (about)

Install Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows on the AWS server
Good evening.
Is this documentation still valid for the Qlik Sense 2022 versions?
Hello @alen_valdes_201
For an up-to-date guide, I would recommend reviewing Preparing your Amazon AWS platform to install Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows. While the general steps in the .pdf guides are still valid, some details have changed (such as where our installers can be downloaded).
All the best,
Sonja
Below is what I see in the documentation "When installing Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows on AWS, you are prompted to enter the server name or address. The correct server name should appear in the field automatically. Do not use a fully qualified domain name."
Does this mean we should use the one which comes by default or we should use the server name as in the pdf?
Below is the one in pdf
"When you come to the step where the node needs to be named, ensure
you use the exact server name rather than the lengthy qualified name that will default"
For me its coming as ip-**-*-*-***.region.compute.internal by default .
When I provide hostname is cmd prompt I get it as EC2****-B***81U.
Which one of these should I use and is there a way I could make it same?
@Sonja_Bauernfeind Thanks
Hello @fabdulazeez
The one filled out by default should be the correct one. I have noticed that the attached PDF shows an outdated (really old) Qlik Sense installer, and I cannot vouch for it anymore.
Please use the instructions provided in the links (help site documentation).
All the best,
Sonja
I have launched and Qlik Sense Enterprise with License AMI in our AWS environment and proceed to initial setup when powershell launched I have setup the user and database credentials but I am getting error :
