Is there a way to use curl version 8.x when using Cloud Engine?

Not at the moment. The curl version is 7.76.1 for the current cloud engine. It cannot be changed.
If you would like to use curl version 8.x, it is recommended to use remote engine instead,
which allows you to upgrade to the newest version of curl. 

In this case, please check if the OS you are using supports the curl version.
