The problem occurs all the times the Advisor chat is opened:
- Connect to Qlik Sense Hub.
- Click on the Advisor chat button.
- The advisor chat shows: "Unable to get data". In a multi node environment, the chat can work connecting on a node and show the message on another node.
- An "Unable to decrypt app settings" error message is shown in the nl-app-search log file.
- A "Failed to load app settings: 'powershell.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." error in the nl-broker log file.
Environment
Resolution
It is necessary to add the "%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\" variable into the ** path ** in the system environment variable, if not present.
To do this (see the attached image):
- Write "Environment Variables" in the windows start and choose "Edit the System Environment variables".
- Choose Advanced >Environment variables.
- Select Path in System variables and click on Edit... .
- Choose Edit Text... .
- Click OK if a warning window opens.
- Add a semicolon (;) and the path:
;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\
at the end of the string.
- Click on OK on all the opened windows.
Cause
The problem is due to a missing system variable in the node.
