I expect a new QlikView 12.80 Release for May 2023. As soon as this arrives 12.70 and 12.80 will be supported. Have you heard anything else?

Hi,
What are the plans after release 12.80? Are more releases to  come or are there plans for an end of life for QlikView (customers to be forced to migrate to QlikSense)?

Thank you very much.
Roland

@Roland1 We will continue to release periodic QlikView updates. This includes Service Releases (SRs) 2023-2024 and v12.90 in 2024. We have no plans to end-of-life QlikView and have no plans to force migration to Qlik Sense.

Thanks, Nicole Tamms, Qlik Product Marketing

Hello @jon_lonsdale,

as far as I know you don't have the chance to buy new named / document / session cals. Back in 2021 there was a announcement, which was very "shorttermed", that perpetual licenses are stopped. Only subscription model is available.

Kind regards

I agree with @peterwh , but if you look at the product metrics Microsoft Word - Product Description for Qlik Software 040523.docx it has this text:

IX. QlikView
QlikView is licensed as an Add On to Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS or Qlik Sense Enterprise Client-Managed. Customers with legacy Client Access Licenses (CALs) are eligible to purchase additional CALs for existing license sites.

@AdamBS

I didn't know that. That sounds interesting, since maybe we are running out of licenses before the Qlik Sense switch.

Does anyone have some details or do i have to contact my sales person?

Kind regards

Peter

@Nicole_Tamms @Sonja_Bauernfeind Does Qlik have an official statement on the subject that no further licenses can be rented within QlikView or that the subscription can no longer be extended?

Hi Danijel,
Thank you for your inquiry.
We have only discontinued the sale of new stand-alone QlikView licenses. As noted in the Qlik Software Product Description<>: "Customers with legacy Client Access Licenses (CALs) are eligible to purchase additional CALs for existing license sites." We will continue to release and support periodic QlikView updates. This includes Service Releases (SRs) 2023-2024 and v12.90 in 2024. We have no plans to end-of-life QlikView and have no plans to force migration to Qlik Sense.
Best,
Nicole Tamms
