PDF-Size in Using Qlik reporting services

Hi we are currently exporting a PDF each day using reporting services in automations. This file tends to get rather big at the end of the month, which causes some problems.

What exactly contributes to PDF File Size?

Since our PDF are bigger at the end compared to the beginning of the month, could the amount of underlaying data affect the File size?
