Hi guys - in this edition of the Qlik Design Blog, I have a short video that briefly introduces you to some of the new features available in Qlik Sense February 2018. Some of the related features are already available in Qlik Sense Cloud and can be used immediately. (note: themes is not available in Qlik Sense Cloud). The software download is currently available to customers and partners who have signed up for the Technical Preview and will be made available for download in our customer downloads area this month.
I've still not found where it's stated in the documentation, but to authenticate to Qlik Sense Desktop or Qlik Sense Mobile, you need a User Access Pass. I understand why this is the case with QS Mobile - as you can get offline access which might break the limitations of Login Access Passes. Not sure why you can't simply authenticate with Desktop if you have a Login Access Pass though - since there's no offline functionality there (at least not yet).
Very cool use of themes. Have you done anything to theme tables yet? I am not a developer so I am curious to know if things like coloring header rows, zebra stripping, or even multiple header rows on tables are possible using the theme extension.
Formatting of tables is unfortunately not (yet?) supported in themes, though could probably be done with custom CSS. For now we've only focused on adding the properties that are actually supported. If you want more freedom around table formatting, then perhaps you could check out Vizlib, which has a very good table extension.
