Stop getting multiple reports - NPrinting

Hi Experts,

I have created a report using NPrinting. Now, I need to send a mail for 5 users.

So, now the 5 users in the "TO" list and I marked two more users in the "CC" list. Now the problem is, "TO" users receives only one mail. But, "CC" users received 5 mails.

Both "CC" & "TO" users should receive only one mail. Why the CC user receives 5 mails..??

Please help me to overcome from this issue.

Hi,

This is working as expected. NPrinting sends one email to each recipient (appropriately filtered for that recipient by applying any user filters - so each email's contents/attachments will potentially be different). Not having user filters will not change this - NPrinting will continue to work the same. Therefore the number of emails sent will necessarily be the same as the number of recipients in the To list (as you call it - it is actually the list of Selected Users in the the Users/Groups tab). So in your case there are five separate emails generated, each to a different recipient and each copied to the list of email addresses in CC/BCC. So Recipients get one - those in CC/BCC get all.

First - provide all information regarding your environments - versions, release numbers and detailed configurations....

For this, I don't know why you are asking configurations, versions etc.

Anyway,

Qlik NPrinting November 2017

Thanks for the information.

As you said is exactly correct.

But, my scenario is I'm not applying any filters even though "CC" users getting 5 mails.

Is there anyway to change the "CC" user should get only one mail if I send to 5 users.?

Hi,

You could put all recipients in the Selected Users list. That way they each get one email. Or have only one recipient in the Selected Users list (so only one email is generated) and add the rest in CC.

Lech is asking information about configuration and version because there are differences in how different version of Qlik NPrinting manages things.

So please provide always the information about your environment when you post a question here. It will help others to help you. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

That's correct Ruggero - I think it should be always a case when asking question on community - as we usually recognize this helpful...
