qlik nprinting solution for date

HI Team,

I have created a report in Nprinting , its working as expected but the data in excel which is generated is quite huge. I am working on a way to cut the data by restricting the data for the last two days for which am looking out for some help.

I have a column called Timestamp which contains the value as "8/25/2022 11:57:41 AM" . I need to construct a filter in nprinting that could restrict the data for the last two days.

Please if someone can assist.

Hi,

Please add the label with the correct version of Qlik NPrinting you are using. If you are using QlikView NPrinting 16.0 please plan the migration as soon as possible because it is out of support for more than two years but I think you are not using a 16 version because it doesn't work with Qlik Sense.

About filtering by date I suggest you start by the many posts here where they were discussed:

You first needs to create a variable in the qliksense corresponding to today -2 and then call it in the filter section of the N-Printing reports creation. You can youtube how to set the filter. its quite easy  rather than writing here.

Trial and error is the key to get unexpected results.

Hi, timestamp filtering requires knowledge of data types and types of filters you want to use.

I have written many times about it and described all sorts of traps and issues you may face if you dont understand the duality of dates. Here are the links to everything you need to know:

https://nprintingadventures.com/2019/02/15/the-pitfalls-of-nprinting-filters-part-1-dates-and-duals/

https://nprintingadventures.com/2019/06/26/nprinting-filters-part-3-advanced-search/

Given that your date is timestamp you need to use range to select dates with advanced search.

cheers

to add to my previous post - what timestamp is a cut off for your date? is it at 12:00 am?
