@Leo77

If there is section access on that ID then you will not be able to access it.

Furthermore, if you are connecting to a Qlik Sense server than the other person, then the AppID will be different.

Please ensure the the NP connection information is accurate including

  • the Qlik Sense proxy server address you are inserting in the Proxy address field
  • Qlik Sense App ID
  • connection Identity. (try to use the NP service user account as the identity if yours does not work and ensure your account is in the same domain as the NPrinting server and service account).

By the way, check the Sense app id,

  • note that the Qlik Sense server hub address you connect to and Sense app Id can be found in the browser's address bar when connecting to the app from the Qlik Sense hub. Using and App ID from a different QS server hub will not work.

In addition to all valid above points make sure that:

  • as a good practice always connect to app which is published
    • connecting to app in work stream is possible but caries risk that someone will delete it and everything breaks
  • use identity which will not be removed when you leave company
    • it is bad practice to use personal identity when defining connection strings. When someone leave company those are deactivated and everything stops working. Instead it is better to use service account details
  • if there is section access - make sure that identity used in connection is added to section access as well

Those above are just practices you should always obey, they will help you avoid silly errors and mistakes in the future.

Hi,

When creating new community posts, please add only one label with the correct version of Qlik NPrinting you are using.

Verify that the Sense App ID is correct. https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/Troubleshooting/Verify-connection-to...

Verify that you can open it from your Qlik Sense.

More details on Qlik Sense connections are available at https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/GettingStarted/HowCreateConnections/...

Best Regards,

Ruggero
