Hi guys
I want to know if i could execute a job with a on-demand button. Right now i can execute Tasks but i need to excute a group of tasks with a single button. Im using the NPrinting On demand extension
Hope you can help
Sebastian - the on-demand objects can only reference a single report or task ID. If you want to run the contents of an entire job, you will need to create a button for each task that is part of the job.
Hi Sebastian,
To add to what Stephen said, you can also create a list of reports in your QlikView document and run the selected one using expressions in the extension object properties - this way you need only one button. Same goes for Tasks. Here is the tutorial: How to Make Reports Selectable with NPrinting On-Demand
HTH - Daniel.
Excellent Daniel. I have a need for this exact process right now. Creative thinking is one of the benefits of investing time on this forum.
Did this get resolved in version 17?
While Daniel's solution reduces real estate used on the QV app screen, it still required a multiple step process rather than the automated one that Sebastian was seeking. Running a job on demand, would be the optimal solution.
Hope you are well my fiend.

Mike -
When the On-Demand feature is released as part of 17.2, the report generation object will be native to QlikView and no longer an extension. Inside the object the user can select any reports that they want to run.
This won't resolve the initial question about running a job, but you'll be able to easily run multiple reports from inside of a single QlikView object.
