I investigated your issue.
Next version September 2017 will have a big improvment on images quality. So I would to suggest you to continue with the images. In few months you will update your installation and this will improve images quality and resolve the quality issue.
I did also tests with native PixelPerfect gauges and I discovered a bug when the report is exported in PDF (and only in PDF, PNG, for example, is not affected) the numbers around the gauge are wrongly printed. So unfortunatelly this solution cannot be implemented right now.

I've tried importing the image into NPrinting from Qlik Sense, and it looks kind of blurry. I was thinking if I could use the PixelPerfect gauge, it might look better at a smaller size ( < 25% of the PDF page).
Yes, creating native charts get you a better resolution in NPrinting reports than import QlikView or Qlik Sense objects as images.
You can create a PixelPerfect or an Excel charts, it depends of what kind of report format you want. I suggest PixelPerfect if you want a report in PDF and Excel if you want a report in .xls or .xlsx format.
