NP 17.3: PixelPerfect and Date Format

Hello,

i have one problem with date formats in my PixelPerfect Report.

Based on my QV Document i'am generating a table. Here i'am using two date fields. (Formatted in Script -> date(FieldA,'DD.MM.YYYY').

On Report at NPrinting i see the dates only as numbers eg. 42923.. When i try to format this value in Designer with -> DateTimes -> "dd.MM.yyyy" i get only values like "dd42923mmyyyy"?!

Can someone help me?

Thanks.

Greetings.

Hi,

It looks like bug as formatting works well for numbers and other formats and doesn't for dates. I worked it around by applying source formatting on Qlik document like Text(Date(MyDateField,'DD.MM.YYYY')) and i did not to have to apply PixelPerfect formatting at all then. I am aware that this is just workaround and it makes Qlik development much harder, but for NPrinting i am always using dedicated document so i did not bother.

Have a look at this solution and if it applies to your scenario.

I tested it recently and it works perfectly.

Hey Lech,

Interesting idea. Which I could still find, if i use the fields from a level i get the false format, if i use the fields from a table (same fields!) i get the right format....?!

I used it in both places (Level just as a field from data model) and table  - as a dimension (without any formatting) and it worked with QV 12.1 and NPrinting June 2017.

I'm on the April 2019 version (19.9.5.0) of Nprinting and this "bug" appears to still be a problem in PixelPerfect. Quite the PITA.

Has anyone got any workarounds that don't require large change Qlikview sheet?
