Hi,
for example I have an NPrinting 16.7 report.
Is it possible that the user changes the request file for selecting a certain reporting year via variable?
Is there any other possibility how the users can define a selection for a certain NPrinting report?
(--> user don't have access to NPrinting Designer.)
For example : user wants to set calendar year = 2017 for a certain report.
Regards Robin
Hi
this is not possible via "request file" as a straight forward solution
that is where OnDemand comes to play
or....
have a job in NPrinting containing few tasks (this job can be run via "request file":

Hi Lech,
thank you fou your answer.
And how would it work with NPrinting 17.x? ... without giving the user "admin priviliges"?
I mean, we talked about: a reload task as in NP16 doesn't exist... so even if the user changed an input file, the user had to wait until the reload task is finished before triggering th on demand report?!?
Hi Robin.
regardles of version - OnDemand functionality can levarage filters applied on Qlik UI. So this will work in NPrinitng 16 and 17+ the same.
"Request file" trigger is different to OnDemand though and it just runs server side job/task in NPrinting 16.
Hi,
I always thought on demand for NPrinting 16 is when using a request file ?!?
I will search for it , thanks.
