Hi All,
when creating Excel report I get number formatted as expected (',' as decimal separator, '.' as thousands separator)
If i chose PDF as output for the same report i get the opposite
I'm using NPrinting 17.5 September 2017, is there something I can do to control this behavior or should I contact the support team?

Hi have you found a solution to this problem?
We had a similar case to this with another customer and the result was that there was actually a problem with the Windows OS server that the NPrinting report was produced from.
We replicated the customer's environment from End to End including using all the language, region, keyboard language, numeric formatting of the server. Also the NPrinting server and the QV/QS server but could not reproduce the server.
I would suggest that you try setting up a separate clean test server and retry. I suspect it will work as expected.
Make sure to use the latest version of NPrinting and supported versions of Windows OS.

I agree with Frank - this seems to be an environment specific settings. Think about it for a moment.
If you produce Excel file you have some default regional settings on your machine. When you open excel file your regional settings are applied to it and cells in excel show formatting set on your local machine - which can be different to those set on NPrinting engine box.
Situation changes when you produce PDF - PDF is produced on NPrinting server and will use regional settings used there to display decimal, thousand delimiter as well as dates formats. Therefore when you open it locally on your machine those setting will be the same as on NPrinting engine box.

We are facing a similar problem, but in our case we need to make this format change dynamic. We need to send reports based on EU and US formats to different clients. We can do these distributions one after another, but we need to have an option to switch the settings without reinstalling the NP system.
Do you know if it's possible?
The only option we were able to find was to switch Locale on NP server between EU and US runs.
Not perfect, requires manual steps, but works.

Yes, Qlik NPrinting uses the regional settings of the computers where the Qlik NPrinting Engines are installed. So, if you have many Engines, they must have all the same settings.
