We started experiencing problems with the data generated into a couple of our NP reports switching around once we upgraded our QlikView server a couple weeks ago.
Here's how it's rearranging things:
QV chart columns (plain 'ol straight table): 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
template: (same order as QV chart, no extra formatting)
data in executed report: 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 3, 4, 5
It's just the data that's getting confused about where to go. The column headings are just fine. The data reference in the template will say "Price" for example, but instead it pulls in the "Month" data from a different column in the chart.
I've tried the reload/regenerate dance and even deleted then recreated the template. Still no dice.
Any ideas on what might be going on?

Well... silence the alarms. I should have more thoroughly searched the knowledge database because this is due to a known bug.
In this case the presentation tab in the object got out of sync and has the columns listed out order (but in the order that they're appearing in the output.) It's a little weird that this object is producing a fine result in another template that doesn't use all the columns, but whatever.
The solution is to either move the columns to match the order in the presentation tab or to recreate the object.
I appreciate all of your help in brainstorming what could possibly be happening.
Thanks.
Adria
Hi,
This is very strange. Could you post some screenshots of the template and the results? We need to have more details to understand what is happening.
Are you sure that the source object is not changed? Did you upgraded the object in the template?
Best Regards,
Ruggero
Try this:
This table update process in the template editor should update any columns that may have changes recently in your source QVWs.
Hi Ruggero,
It is strange indeed. These are the columns in the chart and "updating" the chart in the template doesn't come up with any results. The table fields' properties are all checked to keep source formats and "hide" on "show header".
Below are examples of the template and (manually scrambled) output.
Hi @adria ,
In the source QVW, do you have hidden or conditionally hidden/shown columns in the table?
Can you share a copy of the QVW? If so please reduce and scramble (make sure it is a copy) before posting here.
Thanks - Daniel.
Hi,
Another test I suggest is to remove the special characters / and () from the gain /(loss) field in the QVW. Maybe you can call the field GainLoss or similar and try again. I have no info about a similar problem, so it is an investigation to exclude it.
Thanks
Best Regards,
Ruggero
Nothing hidden or conditional. There is a calculated dimension for "Future Maturity Month Year" = text([Future Maturity Month Year]). I know those aren't ideal, but it's a remnant of trying to fix the number format from incorrectly flowing into another template.
Attaching a scrambled & reduced copy.
Thanks.
