NPrinting Upgrade Path Question
Dear all in the community,
We plan to upgrade our current Qlik environment (Sense September 2020 - NPrinitng November 2019 - v.19.40.3.0) to the latest version of NPrinting. I would like to ask if we can 'jump' directly to the latest version of NPrinting (May 2021) or do we need to install some previous version before the latest one. In the documentation section for NPrinting as well as in the community, I could not locate any relevant information.
Many thanks for your time and answers,
iLiAS

Hi,
just FYI, your current configuration is not officially supported as per documentation stating that NPrinting should be on the same or later version which in your case: Sense September 2020 - NPrinitng November 2019 - v.19.40.3.0 it isn't.
going back to your question:
You can jump directly to Qlik Sense November 2021 and NPrinting May 2021 SR2 which is officially supported.
cheers
Lech

Hi Lech,
We know that our Nprinting deployment is not supported and this is the reason for upgrading to the latest version.
Many thanks for your clarifying answer,
iLiAS

Hi,
For the benefit of all readers who will come across this conversation.
Together with the setups of the version you want to install, also download the Release Notes. In the chapter "Upgrade" of the Release Notes there is the complete and detailed list of all previous versions from which you can start to upgrade directly to the downloaded version.
In the Release Notes you will find also other upgrading information that could be specific and needed for the selected version. So always start the upgrading procedure by reading the Release Notes and the Upgrade chapter of the help site.
Best Regards,
Ruggero
