NPrinting Upgrade to November 2018

Hi there,

We are on Qlik NPrinting February 2018 currently.

Can you upgrade straight to Qlik NPrinting November 2018?

Or do you need to install the other updates that came after February 2018 first?

Regards

Johan

Hi,

You can upgrade directly. As best practice always take a backup first.

See: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2018/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Upgrading-...

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response.

It is a VM server so we will take a snap of the whole server before upgrade.

Thanks

Johan

Hi,

I agree with Daniel, I would to add that there is an update chapter also in the release notes with the list of versions suitable for direct upgrade.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Just be aware that there is a bug in Nprinting November 2018 which affected us (and at least one other customer.)

We had to rollback the upgrade to get Nprinting working again

There is a knowledge article about the bug, named

"NPrinting Schedule service goes down after an upgrade to NPrinting 2018 November release"

None of the workarounds worked for us
