NPrinting engine disconnects frequently

Hi Everybody,

I have NPrinting connection with the Qlik Sense server. The NPrinting engine goes offline frequently and only after a server reboot it starts running the reports. Restarting a Qlik Engine services doesn't help. Every time we need to reboot the server . Please find the log screenshot below for reference.

Version Nprinting: May 2022 SR3

Any assistance on this will be highly appreciated.

Do you have other applications installed where the NPrinting server is installed?

If so, please check this article as the problem may be due to a NPrinting port is being used by another program.

Also the error log you shared indicates that the 'remote host' has interrupted the connection. See following actions.

  • Action: ensure to reboot your Qlik Sense server (and NP server) to ensure that it is up and running normally. NPrinting relies on a healthy Qlik sense server in order to perform reporting operations.
  • Make sure you have sufficient ram and cpu resources to operation your Qlik Sense and Nprinting environments. (NPrinting requires at least 2 CPUs for example)
  • If you are connecting to Qlik Sense and QliKView from NPrinting, you need to ensure that the NP service account is not shared with the QlikView server as this could cause NP engine problems if the NP Engine uses the same service account as the QlikView server. See Dedicated NPrinting Server & Engine Service Accoun... - Qlik Community - 1716056
  • Reinstall the NP Engine and recreated the NPrinting Engine Entry in the NP web console. Then resend the engine certificate to connect to the reinstalled engine.

If none of the above helps, then it may be necessary to start a support request to have this looked into in greater detail.

Kind regards...

Hi @Frank_S , thanks for your response, It's a dedicated server for nprinting and all service are there.

Nprinting only connects with Qliksense.
