NPrinting on demand requirements

A client of ours has a new Qlik Sense and NPrinting installation on a new server.

On the Qlik Sense machine they have created a simple Twitter dashboard, they try to implement a NPrinting on-demand button.

However each every time they try to make a connection to the NPrinting machine in their Qlik Sense dashboard they get the followig error message

Failed to get data from external resource.

 

On the NPrinting machine everything is setup correctly, there is a connection with the app, the server is added as a trusted origin etc etc.

However, our customer is not using a domain controller.

Does NPrinting on-demand support local accounts?

Hi, I've always installed NPrinting in the same domain as Qlik Sense. In help page says that standalone server is on unsupported configurations: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Supported-unsup...

Beside that, check the NPrinting user is a rootadmin user in Qlik Sense, and that you can open NPrinting console from the Qlik Sense server directly, without any certificates warning.

Hi

  1. NPrinting 16.4 does not support Qlik Sense and is out of support - I am 100% sure that you are not using this version - please make sure you always provide correct information when creating a topic 
  2. NPrinting OnDemand with Qlik Sense requires windows NTLM authentication - that is documented on https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/On-Demand/On-Demand-Qlik-Sense.htm
  3. There are many other requirements which must be met also mentioned in help document
  4. You may as well watch some of those videos which partially cover most common problems: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHVBVoLy16Y

@Mika_2000 yes needs to be in a domain, are they just using a 'workgroup', and what are the versions of NPrinting and QlikSense (Like @Lech_Miszkiewicz said we know its not 16.4, it did not even work with QlikSense)
