Hi,
I have a client using NPrinting 16.2
The are producing a report using two filters, Month-Year and Country.
In certain circumstances, when there is no data for the country specified in the filter in a particular month, it is reporting data for all countries that meet the date filter criteria. I understand that this is because it cannot find matching country criteria so it provides everything that matches the data criteria.
e.g.
November 2016 has Qlikview data for India, Australia, Egypt. When a report is produced using a filter for November 2016 and a country filter for Australia, NPrinting produces a report containing Australia data only for November 2016.
December 2016 has Qlikview data for for India and Egypt. When a report is produced using a filter for December 2016 and a country filter for Australia, it brings back India and Egypt for December 2016.
Has anyone found a way around this so that if there is no data for when the filters are used in conjunction with each other, no report is produced? Is a solution to use a Condition somehow ?
Many thanks,
Neil
Hi, Neil,
You need to check the "Verify filer" in the filter window to get rid of empty report.

Hi, Zhihong.
Thanks for responding so quickly and pointing me in the right direction. I was aware of Verify Filter but didn't realise it would handle examining multiple filters simultaneously. Having looked further into it I have found instructions from this link illustrating the issue I was having.
How to Create Static and Dynamic Filters Based on Fields

You are welcome.
Yes, all the filter settings are really handy.
When creating filter, the first option I will add is "verify filter".
