Hello,
I am using NPrintng with a qvw file which takes about 30 minutes to load with QlikView Server. I run reports for about 2 hours a day.
I have noticed very sporadically sometimes a report will not correctly run (problem with a level, a filter may fail as an example) and it appears this may be related to the time the qvw reload is completing. I am guessing if NPrinting is creating a report that may take a few minutes and QlikView server is updating the report at the end of the reload there could be a conflict?
Has anyone else experienced this or should I create a separate qvw file just for NPrinting and use a binary load.
Thank You,
Michael
Yes we have experienced similar issues with NPrinting v16. We also found that you cannot run two NPrinting reports simultaneously or the job will fail. To workaround those issues we did exactly what you said and created a qvw to run some NPrinting reports and scheduled the jobs with enough time in between so if the previous job runs a little longer it will not cause the next job to fail.
I hear that some of those issues are addressed on NPrinting 17.
Regards,
Carlos
Hello,
I have concluded that a report should not be run while the qvw file is in the process of reloading.
This has solved the problem.
