Nprinting 16.9 compatibility with Qlikview 12.4

Hi @Frank_S, @Daniel_Jenkins , @Eva_B ,

I have looked through https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting-Documents/Requirements-for-QlikView-NPrinting-16-x-x-x-... but this seems to stop at qlikview 12.3 SR1. I am wondering is that where nprinting 16 compatibility stops or does the latest version of qlikview still support the latest nprinting 16 version?

Hi @tcullinane 

The next release of NPrinting 16.10 should have certification of newer versions of QlikView for use with NPrinting. 

Those QV versions will be documented in the requirements link that you shared when NP 16.10 is released. Unfortunately we are not yet able to provide the release date nor supported QV versions that will be added as this is strictly in the purview of the R&D team.

NP 16.10 will likely be the last version of NPrinting 16.x.x track prior to its deprecation in March 2020 as mentioned in the requirements guide as well.

It might be helpful to include the latest versions of qlikview in the matrix so it doesnt look like it has just been abandoned.

I appreciate Nprinting 16 is being depreciated, but we are still waiting on a few feature gaps to be closed (variable filters, and select excluded mainly) Would much prefer to get going on moving to and developing in 17 than be upgrading 16.

It is definitely not abandoned. However, it is the standard practice of our R&D team to certify newer versions of the QV desktops with latest releases of NPrinting.

Those certified newer QV versions will be added to the requirements community documentation link when the next version of NPrinting is released.

Just so you know, NPrinting September 2019 will fill the "select excluded" gap. The Technical Preview is available now.

From the Release Notes:

Filters support Select Excluded

QlikNPrinting has the new check box Select Excluded in filters. By enabling it the filter will keep all the non-selected values of the field.This new feature fills a gap with QlikView NPrinting 16.
