Is it possible to have Nprinting 17 to send the admin users an automated email if a task fails?

Hi,

Maybe not the ideal setup but one way is to build a QS app to query the NP postgres and then do a NP task on top of that.

Depends on your requirement of frequency I guess. I use it for a daily check but you could of course do it more often.

At the moment it is not possible to automatically send an email on task failure.

A solution could be to give a periodically check to the Task Executions page.

1) Is this functionality deprecated after NPrinting 16 version?

2) Does Qlik NPrinting Feb-2019 version  has this feature?

Hi,

1) This feature is not deprecated also in QlikView NPrinting 16. You can use it by paying attention that the number of notification email you receive could be very high.

2) Gap features betwee QlikView NPrinting 16.* and Qlik NPrinting 17+ (so also 18 and 19) are listed in the first page of the official help site at the link https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2019/Content/NPrinting/Introduction/Introduction.htm and new features added to each release are listed at the beginning of the release notes. Task notifications are not available in February 2019 but they will be soon...

@Ruggero_Piccoli  Ya in the help site it is mentioned that, Task failure notifications are not available for Qlik NPrinting 17 or newer.
