Nprinting Report into Nexus

Is there any way we can transfer Nprinting report into Nexus application.

I am sending my reports through emails but required to be more secure rather than sending through mailbox.

Another way, we can save reports (excel, pdf, powerpoint etc) into different platform for better security of the report data.

Hi,

Thanks for the versions. We still don't know what Nexus is but Qlik NPrinting can send reports only to the destinations mentioned by @Lech_Miszkiewicz . With third party destinations the solution that works in the majority of the cases is to configure Qlik NPrinting to send reports to a folder and then use a synchronization software to upload the report files to the final destination.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi @mramitbhandari17

Little bit of house keeping first - please provide

  • version of NPrinting in use
  • is it used with QlikView or Qlik Sense
  • what is Nexus? - link to documentation please! In Australia where I live Nexus means a lot of different things so having clarification on what platform we are talking about would definitelly help.

Study - make sure you understand what tools you are working with! This you can achieve by studying help site: https://help.qlik.com . In fact you should first do that to understand your options as NPrinting provides only following options of distributions: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2023/Content/NPrinting/DistributionSchedulesAutomation/Sche...

  • send by email
  • store report in NPrinting portal called NewsStand
  • store report to Qlik Sense HUB
  • store report to hard drive (it can be shared folder or local folder but it needs to be within the same domain as nprinting service account so it can have access without credential prompt)

With use of API there are additional workflows which can be developped like:

  • Reload Qlik App (Qlik)
  • Create reports and store locally (NPrinting triggered via API)
  • Publish files to FTP (Qlik reload via FTP Webconnectors)

There is not much more to add to this other than consider if any of the options can be automated for your usecase.

cheers

Lech
