Nprinting Throws error:Not enough storage available to complete this operation.

Hi All,

I'm facing an issue while generating Report from Nprinting 16.4 , The reports gets generated and gets distributed as well. But somehow when the Nprinting is closing the NSQ file it throws the "Not enough storage available to complete this operation".

The only solution is to Restart the Nprinting service.Please see the below error message .

i don't think this issue is related to storage. is it a permission issues/ Schedules.xml/ memory leakage issue.?Any help?

Hi,

We need to exclude that it is a solved bug and the only way is to update to latest version available. Then we can proceed with a deeper investigation. Note also that bugs will be solved always starting from latest version and never propagated on older releases.

If the same .nsq project worked in the past I suggest you to investigate if something changed. Also the second message seems related to a lack of storage space.

In the Options -> Report settings you can see all the folder settings. Check to have space in related storages.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

We have cleared the logs and temp folder which is on SAN. But still, we are getting the same error.

some more observation, we have 2 sets of same NSQ running at different time everyday:

1. x.nsq --> Completes without error

2 copy of x.nsq --> Throws error.

Hi,

An .nsq file is an xml file. If you copy and paste it you will get an exact clone. So if the clone is not working well or there are issues on the clone (maybe something was modified) or the cause is not related with the file.

In Qlik NPrinting if you need to run the same task at different time of the day you simply need to use the scheduling features to create the two runs. It is not necessary to clone the .nsq file.

Remember that if it is a bug we don't do bugs investigations on old version of the product. So update to latest 16.8 and try again. If the problem persists open a support ticket because via community message we cannot go deeper in the issue investigation. If you don't want to update please note that updating will be the first thing support team will ask you.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Simple restart of the Nprinting service has done the job. Restart was completed before the 2 job starts.

when we looked at the Server/Governance dashboard we came to know that some how Nprinting (16.4) was constantly using 1 GB RAM , even when the jobs was completed.

When the 2 job runs, it cross the 2 GB RAM and hence, the Out of memory/Storage error.

Note: Nprinting 16.4 is 32 bit application and can use 2GB RAM.
