Printing Invoices with Nprinting

Dear Experts,

Our Client's ERP system is using legacy printers to print an invoice. Currently, they have Nprinting and looking for a way to print the invoices using Nprinting. How can we achieve it? Idea is sales person can copy the invoice number and paste it in Nprinting report to genrate a invoice. would that work? will Nprinting give us an option to pass a parameter?

Kindly suggest if there are any other way to achieve this functionality.

If you have list if invoices to print then you could try with the cycle feature in NPrinting

Hi Avinash,  Thanks for the help and hinting me on cycling feature. 

Since we would like to give this facility to users, I am preferring passing invoice number by them and click some kind of generate button and print PDF. 

Any thoughts?

If that is the case then Use variables in your QVW so when the use selects a filter it will be captured in the variable and you could read this variable in NPrinting and for button you could use the NPrinting On-Demand feature (but it involves additional licence )

Actualy... i had a second thought about it!!!

In my opinion you do not need NPrinting

If You are using QlikView and want users to print Invoices why not to use QlikView Entity Report. (reports which are build in QlikView. You can build Invoice template there.

You can then prepare QlikView application in the way where your users will only have to select:

• for example customer , date or invoice number (whatever is necessary) and then just choose report to print it .

As the requirement is to print Invoice (not to sent it automaticly via email to customer) you do not need NPrinting at ALL

or you use nprinting on-demand function. You can just select your customer number in QlikView. You can choose your report and download it.
