Hi All,
I have a field named Salesman, which has a unique SalesID for each Salesman.
I am trying to send out an email to all Salesman who did not sign their Log of Attendance by the end of the week, to reimburse their salary for the past week of work done.
I create an App, create the connection to QlikSense App.
I then apply filter on SalesID for all >3000 unique values.
I import the recipients(users list) through the import task.
My QlikSense App identifies 10 salesman out of 3000 values as the ones who did not sign their log of attendance.
I attach that single filter in the Publish task->Filters
I add all the 3000 recipients as Publish task->users
I get an error in the scheduler log file as "Task is configured so that all recipients are disabled". The report could not be generated.
Please advise on a solution to this.
Thanks in advance.
Nazira
Hi Nazira,
Ensure that your Users who are added as recipients in the task are Enabled in these places:
If you use groups also check that the groups are enabled under :
HTH - Daniel.
Hi.
Just a quick question - what is your NPrinitng license? How many recipients does it cover?

Lech
It covers unlimited recipients.
Nazira
Ok understand
What format is your ID for Salesman? Is it Text, or Number or maybe Dual??
see this topic for more info (look for the part where i explain filtering):
Re: Nprinting Filters not working on Excel Documents

It is text.
But, now my test case is working.
I am now going to implement it with real data test case.
The error could be because my admin user id was not a
part of the active directory users.
Second could have been version. The Qlik Sense and NPrinting version were different.
Thirdly, I published the app, whose App Id I use now in the connection.
Thanks a lot!
Appreciate.
Nazira
Great that it works.
Just few remarks regarding your comments:
1st concern regarding admin user - if you are talking about service account - then yes - it could cause some problems, But it also depends if you have section access in document and if you restrict records using section access. It is a long topic though.
2nd Qlik Sense and NPrinting versions - they do NOT have to be identical as they are completly different products - you only need to look in requirements which versions are supported accross
3rd It does not matter - as long as you are able to create a conection to Qlik Sense document it should work.

Lech
Thanks Lech.
It is very valuable input.
Yes. I am talking about service account.
Also, I do not have section access in the document.
Earlier emails/ newsstand report was received by one person only out of the selected in the test case.
But, I still have to do a final test with some real time data.
Nazira.
out of curiosity - does it mean that each time you will apply this filter manually?
I think i do not have full/clear picture how you are going to maintain > 3000 filtering values - are you going to populate filters each time manually?
you will have to provide probably some screenshots with steps you are taking.... from the content it seems that there is a logical mistake somewhere...
