WARN: error during report generation:

HI,

there is Waning i get From NP,

The report Sometimes working good and Sometimes i get This message "

WARN: error during report generation: The process cannot access the file ed49072dc0d7405d92516d3c2960ed03.xls' because it is being used by another process.

"

Someone can Help to to solve it ?

Hi, 

Is your NPrinting meeting all environment requirements? 

Error is telling you everything you need to know to troubleshoot it. There is a file which NPrinting engine needs to use and that file is:

  • corrupted or locked
  • or nprinting service account cannot overwrite it/read it/use it
  • or is locked by other user or antivirus software
  • or nprinting account does not have required privileges set (although it should have local admin rights)

Investigate what is preventing service account from reading from that location and you will know what causes it. This is not typical NPrinting issue - it is an issue in your environment.

Make sure you meet ALL requirements for NPrinting environment and service account and connection from https://help.qlik.com

Is the logicalbi user being used by more than one user to design reports?
If so, this too will cause a file lock. Only one 'logicalbi' user should be editing the report. 

Also If a different user is editing the same report and left the designer open on their desktop, this too will keep the file locked.
