Hello everyone.
So I want to create a user just with User rights, because I have read somewhere that if some user has also Developer rights, cannot receive the distributed e-mail. I went to create another user, made sure the e-mail was unique (not even an alternate mail to some other user), completed the e-mail, name, password, domain account (which is in email form as is in all the other preexisting users i have -not domain/account), time zone, locale BUT the create button is inactive...
I have administrator and developer rights and in roles the User is active.
I don't know what possibly changed. All I know is that Qlik Sense version got an update to Qlik Sense May 2023 and Nprinting got an update to Qlik Nprinting May 2021.
I can't explain what is happening... Please help!
Hi,
The create button becomes green after you filled all the mandatory fields. Please share a screenshot so we can check. Is there any error message?
A user can have multiple roles, so you can assign both User and Developer roles to the same user and/or you can create custom roles. Refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2023/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Security-manage...
Best Regards,
Ruggero
Hello Ruggero Piccoli, I found what's wrong. Thank you for your message.
I just deleted the domain account info because e-mail and password was enough.
Then the button went back to green and activation.
🙂
But apart from that, I noticed that indeed when my user had Administrator, Developer & User simultaneously, the corresponding e-mail wasn't getting emails. When I removed the User rights, the emails went through just fine. Is that so? @Ruggero_Piccoli
Hi,
I think there already is another user with the same domain account.
The built-in User role is disable by default. Maybe you still have it disabled. Instead Administrator, Developer, etc are enabled by default after the installation.
Best Regards,
Ruggero
