reload metadata to refresh data from Qlik ?

We are using Nprinting 17.6.0000

I noticed that when I want to run some tasks, to create multiple reports, I first have to reload the metadata to refresh the data from Qlikview.

I thougt reloading metadata was only necessary when there are new objects etc in the qvw.

Do I have to change some settings (where ?) or is this indeed how it is ment to be?

Hi Johan,

For Local QlikView Connections you will need to reload the metadata for fresh data to reflect in reports.

You can schedule metadata reloads using triggers. More information here: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2018/Content/GettingStarted/HowCreateConnections/Reloa...

Hi,

yes- you need to reload the metadata whenever you added new objects or deleted something from your real application that is in server aswell.

otherwise no need to reload the metadata every time.

If you are talking about getting updated data from base QlikView report then dont we have to update QlikView first and then run task in NPrinting

Then why is my data only refreshed when reloading metadata

Or do I have to reload too even when the objects are not used in the Nprinting template, to get the data refreshedn

the reload should happen in QMC

then automatically it will show in Nprinting..[without any addition of fileds in qlik]

And when the qvw file is not published ? So it resides on the server but the connection is local and not server ?
