We have tried to install the Nprinting version 20.19, want to upgrade the Nprinting from 17.5 to 20.19 , but we have facing some issue with the Nprinting system, Specifically the connection page is not able to open; we are able to login the web console but it will be disabled once we try to go through the Connection page.We have checked at the log files for the web.engine, the message below appears:
”RabbitMq server is not connected - trying diagnoser queue creation again in 10 seconds“ many times.
Appreciate as your answer.many thanks!
Hi,
Please check the following pages:
Best Regards,
Ruggero
DId the upgrade actually fail during the software upgrade process or are you experiencing this problem 'after' successfully installing/upgrading?
These are two separate things with separate solutions for upgrade failures vs problems with connectivity 'after' an upgrade has taken place.
If you upgraded successfully but are having issues 'after' the upgrade process, then @Ruggero_Piccoli response is correct. It is likely a problem with Rabbit MQ. Check his second bullet. That should solve the issue but go through those steps carefully to ensure success.
Kind regards...

thanks for your advice , We are trying to solve the issue by following the link, but failed.
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2021/Content/NPrinting/Troubleshooting/Qlik-NPrinting-...
refer the link , the information as below :
Check the messaging service users and permissions - normal
Check the service certificates - normal
Check the node status on the RabbitMQ console - the output is different from the expected, it contains information but the layout and content is different with the one shown in the guide. we are not sure whether it's because the version difference, in the guide, it using RabbitMQ version 3.8.3, but the version we have is 3.7.24
At what point does it fail and what happens(refer the above link)?
1.when we trying to remove everything inside the folder C:\ProgramData\NPrinting\RabbitMQ except for the files enabled_plugins and advanced.config, we did not find the advanced.config file, what we have is rabbitmq.config
2.we have run the following command: rabbitmq-service.bat remove and then run the following commands:rabbitmq-service.bat installrabbitmq-service.bat start, so far so good
3.we have recreated the messaging service certificates and reinstall Qlik NPrinting Engines, but when we trying to run the NPrinting service, the QlikNPrintingMessagingService cannot be started with an error, said "The specified service has been marked for deletion"
Hello @ericmkyeung
If any of the necessary files are missing this could indicated an overly aggressive antivirus running on your NPrinting server. Or the file was inadvertently deleted manually.
In any case if the file is not recoverable, then you are likely limited to reinstalling NPrinting and restoring from a good backup. But when doing so you will need to find a good NPrinting database backup, know what version of NPrinting the backup was taken from which matches the NPrinting server you will be restoring to as per:
If needed, you might prefer to submit a Qlik Support Desk support request to discuss this issue, mention your recovery steps have been that have been unsuccessful.
Before you reinstall, please ensure that you meet the minimum server requirements for the version of NPrinting that you wish to upgrade to. For example, 2 CPU cores are required to run NPrinting.
Note: check the 'c:\programdata\nprinting' folder to check if a pre-upgrade NP database backup was made. Preferably you have created a manual backup of the NP database 'before' you attempted the upgrade.
Kind regards...
