upgrading NPrinting from Nov 2020 to May 2022

Hello,

When upgrading Qlik Sense from Nov 2020 to May 2022 with NPrinting do I need to reimport the certificates and setup SSL for NPrinting again or will NPrinting retain the settings?

Agreed!
No need to reinstall certs.
The primary reason to reinstall certs was due to the nodejs issue in early 2020 that has long since been resolved.

Since you are already successfully running with Qlik Sense Nov. 2020 and upgrading to May 2022, there should be no necessity to update your QS certificates on the NP server.

Kind regards.

HI @mstoler

From my experience I would say you don't, but on the other hand there is not much you need to do to back it up which should be standard procedure anyway when upgrading (creating a. backup of certs and config files just in case - I guess you reffered to NewsStand and Webconsole SSL certs, right?)

If your question was in regards to Qlik Sense certificates for communication with engine that I am not sure. I saw instances where I had to re import them although I was not able to find the cause of why they would stop working.

Again. - this is not a big deal as it is straightforward thing to do anyway.

cheers
