Over the weekend I tried a switchover scenario with Oracle Data Guard and Replicate.
When the change from the primary node to the standby node was made, connection endpoint to the standby node was updated. The connection test was successful but when resuming the replication task the following error was obtained:
Error
Failed opening ASM file '+ARC01/oraprod/archivelog/2023_07_22/thread_1_seq_1632.320.1142895477', thread id '1'
OCI error 'ORA-15056: additional error message
ORA-15173: entry 'oraprod' does not exist in directory '/'
ORA-06512: at "SYS.X$DBMS_DISKGROUP", line 201
ORA-06512: at line 1'
What is this error due to?
The dba at that time told me that both Oracle primary and standby nodes have the same service name but different SID. Both nodes have service name: oraprod but the primary node has SID: oraprod and the standby node has SID: oraprods.
Is there a way to configure this on the replicate endpoint?
