Connected to Server Ok, Security Settings Denies Access

Hi there,

I have a server with 10 cal's  my users cannot lease a licence, I am new to the server side of things so please "dumb it down"

My Qlikview server licence (baring serial number and licence code) looks like this

NUMBER_OF_USERCALS;10;;

DISABLE_DMS;YES;;

FORCE_AUTHENTICATION;YES;;

PRODUCTLEVEL;10;;2016-02-28

NAMED_CAL_BY_MACHINE_ID;NO;;

my CAL>General tab has the following

Identify user by: User Name

Allow Licence Lease (Ticked)

Allow Dynamic Cal Assignment (Ticked)

CAL Assigned CAL's:

my user is there

We have tried leasing a licence twice, we get the above error constantly.

Hi,

1. Are you on a domain?;

2. Are you trying to lease a license from the server on a remote desktop client or are you trying to lease a license on a local desktop client (ie: on the server)?;

First you have to check - both the machine are in same domain or not?

hen you have to use cal's user credentials in which machine you need to lease the license.

also check that whether the necessary ports are open or not from the machine wheryou want to take the license using telnet.

If not open then you need to open it first. this is is second priority.

I don't know if this is the correct way to answer but here goes:

Qlikview resides on a server, we all have desktops/laptops with the client installed, if I need to go to the Qlikview server, I access it via remote desktop.

Are you authenticating against a domain?

So, on the client, you would select 'Open In server', then under server put this:

qvp://domain\username@serverhostname or IP

Then hit connect, it should prompt you for your password and then continue to list the available apps.

from the client machine you have to check the port 4747 is open or not.

go to cmd and write telnet then space then the server IP and then space port no
