We are considering a disaster recovery plan where we will be having two servers in an Active/Passive mode.
The issue is that we are seeking a way of automatically backing up the configuration and QVW files, so that the passive server would be up to date.
Currently our active server is a dedicated machine for the sake of performance. Otherwise, it would be easier to implement the solution we are looking after. Does the performance degrades in an enterprise virtual enviorment comparing to a dedicated machine?
Ultimately a solution that suits dedicated servers would be more appropriate. We can consider virtualization backup (in the OS level) if we could guarantee similar performance as in a seperate physical server.
