I'm running QlikView 8.5. When I press the Export To Excel button in IE a popup is opened and immediately closed. Upon closer inspection the problem appears to be that the popup is opened just before the file is created. 1 second later the file exists and I can open it just fine, even from IE (by writing the full path in the address bar). When I press the Export To Excel button in Firefox it works just fine, I get a popup asking me to download the excel file. Is there a way to slightly delay the popup? It would seem that if the popup waited just 1 second I would get the correct result. Has anyone else seen this happen?
Pressing the print button yields correct results in both browsers.
No, but have you added your site (with QV-applications) to trusted sites?
I haven't, but I'll try that next time. Thanks!
I wrote a fix for this issue here http://demo.qlik.com/Help.asp .
Q: I can not send to excel in IE?
A: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security and Press Custom Level...
Now locate Automatic prompting for file downloads and make sure it is set toEnable.
Also make sure you allow the popup from this page if you have a popup blocker running.
This should solve your issue.
