How to load a QVD of 200 GB in Qlikview.

Hi ,

I am new to Qlikview and in an interview i was asked how i would load a single QVD file of about 200GB.

Can you tell me the best possible method to perform this task.

Agreed. But this will take hours to load the 200GB QVD.  How can i perform this task in the shortest time possible .

For any data load process there is some upper limit (that too in ideal conditions), if your RAM supports to handle that big data of 200GB, definitely this can be loaded..

Some of the best practices while loading the huge data..

1) Make sure that you are not creating too many joins and associations

2) Cardinality and Sparcity ratio

3) Make sure that not many UI elements are in your QVW

Have patience.. as its difficult to load in any BI tool of this much of data size...

I'll suggest you (if possible) to recreate your qvd file to create small qvds with few information. It's faster to load several small files than one big file.
