In one machine can I install QVS two times(Cluster Functionalty)

Hi Forums,

I have window os 7 desktop. I am Biggner.

In one/same machine can I install QVS two times. I don't know whether I am asking right or wrong?.

I am doing asking all this because I want to implement the Cluster Functionlty.

If I am not in right track. Can I know what are the step & requirement for implementation Cluster Functionalty.

And After implementation How I should check the Cluster functionaly.

No you cannot. In Cluster the QVS needs to be on separate machines.

Hi,

You need to have separate machines.

Otherwise there is no use of clustering.

In that case both the machine should be in LAN, So at home it is not possible. And alternate solution pls?

Hi,

Looking at your post and seeing what you are asking, I think you have the wrong impression on Qlik Clustering. The Qlik Clustering is more like a "Farm" that a cluster. There is no failover if there is an issue with one of the machines.

Qlik clustering is more for spreading the load and sharing the license.

You can use VMWare and install the QVS on the same machine to mimic the cluster environment.-Ram

FYI, I am QV learner. I am some what aware of clustering functionlty. But not very clear.

But after looking to all the response now it is clear.
